Intensive Treatment of the Tobacco Dependent Patient: A Certification Program for Tobacco Treatment Specialists (CTTS)
The ACT Center for Tobacco Treatment, Education & Research
The University of Mississippi Medical Center
We are pleased to announce our Fall 2007 Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) workshop. Attendees receive the training and resources necessary to establish and deliver an evidence-based, high-intensity tobacco intervention program. An understanding of addiction concepts, clinical assessment, and the intervention approach are paramount. Hands-on activities are interwoven throughout the workshop experience. While drawing from the Public Health Service Guideline (2000) “Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence,” our curriculum is routinely updated to incorporate the latest clinical and scientific advances. Our faculty’s broad expertise results in a comprehensive, high-quality training experience. Enrollment is open to individuals meeting eligibility requirements; please visit our website listed below for details.
